Stress Management and RelaxationFalling into stress is usual in today’s competitive world. Also there may be situations where in we will be in immense stress that we will not be doing our job properly. More over our mental mind-set will be affected which in turn will affect us physically. Stress is not recognized by us during the initial stages. Once we face some mental or physical health issues we will be realizing our stress. Only then we will be thinking about ways to reduce the stress. Stress may be reduced by two ways. They are stress management and relaxation. These two are closely clubbed as we need both these entities while handling the stress. The two stages in managing the stress are identifying the stressors or the cause of the stress and cooping or relaxing during the stress situation. Stress Management TechniquesThe main reason why stress management technique is performed by people is to identify the cause of the stress or the stressors. Usually people will be unaware of these stressors. Most of the times people will wrongly misinterpret the stressors and try to manage the stress situations while in reality the stressors may be hidden. Thus it is always better to consult a councilor who will be able to know from us who is the stressor. Based upon the stressor, we will be taking the necessary steps to avoid them. Even the councilor will suggest few tips as to how to handle these stressors. Relaxation techniqueOne the stressors are identified, the next step in managing the stress is to bring the habit of relaxing during the stressful times. There are a lot of tools for this. Some are yoga, meditation, massage, etc. These exercises will make us relax our body. It will help us improve our body temperature. These techniques may be difficult to practice alone. But once practiced, it will be the best way to tackle the stressors. Another way to get relaxed is self hypnosis. This is the hypnosis performed by ourselves. This is known as self therapy. Once we know how to relax during the stressful times, it will be really very easy to handle the stress and more often we will be able to utilize the stress effectively and do our job with maximum effort. Stress Management is gaining the importance after seeing many health related cases due to excess stress. Thus if these techniques are followed by us regularly during the times of tress we will be having a long and happy life handling excess stress. |
